2009/11/08 Pancake Breakfast Success!

Troop 108 continued its tradition of setting the fundraising bar higher and higher. This year we once again broke all previous records! If you attended, donated, or help out, we’d like to say “Thank you for your support of scouting!”

Hello Troop 108 Scouts and Parents,

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped out to make this year’s pancake breakfast a success!!

To our scouts:

You were amazing!!

Thanks for doing a great job selling tickets to your family and friends.  Thanks for offering your help to sell tickets at the masses. Thanks for helping out on Saturday for the set up and, above all, thanks for an outstanding job on Sunday!!!

Despite waking up at the crack of dawn and working 6 hours – your smiles never faded.  I heard so many wonderful complements about you yesterday.  The OLV parishioners and our many other guests were thrilled to have you cook and serve them!! They said you were helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, and cheerful (sound familiar??)

I proudly agreed!!  Thanks so much!!

To Troop 108 Parents:

This event could not have been possible without everyone’s combined effort.  Thank you so much for offering your help!!  Whatever job you assisted with – whether it was with marketing, pre sale ticket money collection, helping with food donations, donating supplies, helping with set up, cooking the sausages, mixing the batter, helping to serve the pancakes, helping out at the coffee table, helping out at the fruit / donut table, collecting tickets at the entrances, helping with clean up, or any other job you assisted with -- THANK YOU!!!  We couldn’t have done it without you!!!

To Troop 108 Leaders:

Thank you for offering your leadership and support for this event.  Thank you for helping out with the planning.  Thanks for creating those great road signs, and for printing all of those placemats (in color no less!!!), and for taking pictures of the event so that we can share them with our sponsors.  Thanks for helping Alex the SPL, and the junior leaders to successfully organize the duty rosters and the overall flow of the day.  It was through this combined effort that made yesterday so successful!!

The money from the fundraiser will help subsidize campouts, purchase awards, badges, and buy necessary supplies and equipment, so That Troop 108 can continue to provide a quality program to our scouts.

So, I hope everyone gets plenty of rest!!!  You deserve it!!
