2009/06/26 Whitewater Rafting on the Lehigh

In June, Troop 108 went on its annual white water rafting trip. Our favorite spot is the challenges of the Lehigh River in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Hickory Run State Park was our home base for the weekend. The scouts and adults had a blast on the river, which provided an ideal venue for lots of antics and memories. It was a wet and wild experience!

2009/06/14 Flag Day

Each year, Troop 108 hosts an annual flag retirement ceremony and Court of Honor on Flag Day, June 14. This year was no exception. Flag retirement is a necessary service - flags that are faded, torn, or no longer fit for service need to be properly retired in a fire. At the Court of Honor, many scouts and adults were recognized for their advancements and service. Army veteran and Wayne police officer Chris Carbone and Wayne Councilman Joe Scuralli were among the distinguished guest speakers.
